The number of active students in your Training Wizard database is defined as the number of student records that have not been deactivated. The SQL statement that the Training Wizard application uses to compute this number is:

Select Count(*) From Person P, Student S Where P.DeactivationDate Is Null And P.PersonID = S.PersonID

Details:

To compute the number of active students in your Training Wizard database, you do not need to use the above SQL statement. Instead, follow these steps:

Run Training Wizard and log in normally.
From the Help menu, select the "About Training Wizard 2001" item.
When the About screen appears, the number of active students is displayed at the bottom of the screen, just above the OK button.
