Summary:

After logging into Training Wizard, you may sometimes receive a SQL error with the following description:

Warning, null value eliminated from aggregate.

The error occurs when the stored procedure sp_wizard_init is automatically run as Training Wizard loads.

Details:

The error actually occurs within another stored procedure, named sp_completecurriculum, that will get called by sp_wizard_init. One of the functions of this stored procedure is to set the completion date of a student's curriculum when that student has completed all of the courses in that curriculum. This will fail with the above error if the following is true:

The student is enrolled into multiple classes of the same course.
All of these classes are completed.
The student does not have a completion date for all of these enrollments.
The course is part of the student's curriculum.
The student has completed every course in their curriculum at least one time.

This problem has been fixed in Training Wizard 2001 3.0.23. Upgrading to this release will eliminate this defect.

If you are still running Training Wizard 98 with schema 197 through 209, you may patch your database. A revised version of SP_COMPLETECURRICULUM is available that will eliminate this error. You may download a SQL script that will patch your database and fix this problem from one of the following locations (based on the DBMS engine you are using):
